As Doug Bloom was online conducting research on renewable energy, he met an engineer from China who holds nine international patents on his vertical axis turbine. Doug began selling his turbines in the United States and before long suggested to his parents, Robert and Nancy Bloom, that they form a wind power energy company so he could focus on running the sales department. On April 15, 2008, Robert and Nancy founded Four Seasons Windpower, LLC and distribute for this manufacturer as well as others. We met with Nancy recently and listened as she provided this overview of Four Seasons Windpower's revolutionary products and vision for the future.

Our Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWTs) take up little space, operate almost silently, and produce usable energy with little wind. Due to their vertical airfoil configuration, VAWTs efficiently collect wind from all directions and their propeller-free designs are friendlier for birds, bats, and the environment.

Our turbines come equipped with charge controllers that regulate the power being stored in the batteries. At the present time the state will reimburse you for half the cost of a turbine and its installation, with reimbursement not to exceed $25,000.00. With the expected lifespan of a turbine at twenty plus years, the payback time is between six and eight years enabling you to enjoy free electricity for somewhere between twelve and fourteen years.
