The Northridge Health Center was founded in North Ridgeville, Ohio on January 1, 1985 by a group of approximately thirty investors dedicated to serving the Northeast Ohio community. The vision of making a difference in the lives of others shared by these remarkable people has enabled The Northridge Health Center to become a 126 bed skilled nursing and 64 unit independent living facility that is second to none. Walking through the halls you feel an immediate sense of warmth and belonging radiating from the laughter and smiles of the residents and staff. This dynamic team has successfully created an environment of infectious happiness that glows on the faces of staff members, residents, and the residents' family members.
The Northridge Health Center offers a wide range of skilled nursing services, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, rehabilitation, therapeutic feeding, IV therapy, and wound treatment. They have two Medical Directors, both prominent area physicians, in addition to fifteen attending physicians credentialed to help them provide medical care and services to their residents. Care is also provided on-site via contract with many local Audiologists, Podiatrists, Optometrists, and Dentists, and transportation is available to take residents to off-campus doctor appointments.
Patients typically arrive at The Northridge Health Center directly from an acute care setting as they enter the rehabilitative stage of treatment in preparation for returning home. Not only does The Northridge Health Center provide services designed to ensure their safety and medical stability, but patients also find the center to be a phenomenal resource for information concerning Medicare, Medicaid, and social issues they may face. A Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is on staff to consult, answer questions, and provide information about the different resources available to them.
The center provides 24 hour supervision and care on a short-term basis for rehabilitative and nursing needs, and offers long-term care through their adjoining independent living facility. Respite care is available for a week, two weeks, or a month whenever family members or other caregivers are going to be out of town or simply need a break.
The friendly staff at The Northridge Health Center are very committed, compassionate, and are continuously seeking ways to improve the care and services they provide. The center is an exceptionally clean environment, and their activity department helps ensure residents are always happy and smiling.
